Blue and Pink

I still have fun wearing polka dot, I remember how much I loved it when I was young (30 years ago).

I’m trying to decide on a couple of new clothes/jewelry/bag purchases. My budget is very tight with the kids involved in literally everything. Looking on the bright side this gives me the push to search my own closet and be more creative.

I’m wearing:

Polka dot cardigan from Forever 21 (here), Linen pants from Target (similar here), pink shirt from Target (similar here or here), really old sandals from DSW (I like this here).

Long skirt

I love holidays because I get to spend extra time with my kiddos. They are so much fun, we’re planning to play Set (the card game) and Clue. My daughter is amazing in Set, I’m much slower now than the kids. Getting old…shrinking brain.

Have a great Monday!

I’m wearing:

Asos tweed jacket (here), Striped skirt from Target (similar here), Sam & Libby Kiyana Bootie from DSW (here), Beanie hat from Kohl’s (similar here), Target sunglasses (here).

Fine Art Fair on Saturday

My family and I had a wonderful time in Palm Springs yesterday. The kids behaved really well and that allowed us to spend 2 hours browsing interesting artwork at the Fine Art Fair. I highly recommend going if you’re in the area.

I hope you all are having (or had) a great weekend as well! Thanks for stopping by. :-)

I’m wearing:

Maxi dress from Target (similar here or I love this one here ). Denim jacket from Forever 21 (here), Nine West suede flats from DSW (here), Brighton bag, sunglasses from Target (here).

Colors

I went shopping last week, but despite my addiction to the colors black and gray I picked up some colorful items. One of them is a pink cropped pants (I don’t think I had pink pants since kindergarten).

Yes, it was windy again, my hair was flying everywhere. Have a great weekend!

I’m wearing:

J Jill tunic (similar here), Ultra skinny printed pants from Gap (here), Briolette necklace from Urban Peach Boutique (check on Very Jane, they have great jewelry sales).

Art and Fashion - Elsa Schiaparelli

Schiaparelli was one of the most prominent figures in fashion between the two World Wars. Her designs were influenced by surrealist artists like Salvador Dali and Alberto Giacometti.

Schiaparelli’s most important legacy was in bringing to fashion the playfulness and sense of “anything goes” of the Surrealist movement. She loved to play with colors, shapes, and textures, and embraced the new materials and technologies of the time. (Wikipedia)

Her creations above are: Lobster dress, Insect necklace, Evening coat, Shoe hat, Skeleton dress, Tears dress.

I think my favorite is the Tears dress. :-) Thanks for reading!

Black (again) with some sparkle

I was trying to combine a couple really old items with some new finds. I needed to wear something comfy and elegant for meetings and kids’ music recitals. I even ran to the grocery store in this, just zipped up the jacket to hide the sparkle. It worked well throughout the whole day! :-)

I’m wearing:

Worthington Jacket from JCP (similar here), ANA Sparkly top from JCP (similar here on sale, I like the Rose Copper). Mango black jeans (here), Mango bag (I like this), old DSW pump (similar here), Fossil watch (similar here), Pandora bracelet.

Blue and Green

Blue and green are my two favorite colors. I think navy blue goes well with everything, not very adventurous. I have seen a lot of people wearing pink and red combo lately, looks really nice. What do you think?

Can you tell it was really windy here yesterday?

I’m wearing:

Bow tie blouse from a local boutique (similar here or here), old cardigan from Target (similar here), Ultra skinny printed pants from Gap (here), old sandal (I love this here).

Black and Winter Floral

Apparently I have a lot of dark clothes…I think I will need to add some color to my wardrobe this upcoming spring.

I’m wearing:

Worthington jacket from JC Penney (similar here), Floral top from JC Penney (here, Mango black jeans (here), Mango bag (I like this), Sam & Libby Kiyana Bootie from DSW (here), Fossil watch (similar here), Pandora bracelet.

Mustard and Polka Dot

I decided that I will be trying new things this year and blogging is one of it. So far I’m having lots of fun with the process. I’m planning to post outfits I wear and things that I have on my “wishlist”. With that note I don’t wear skirts very often but I found some cute (and cheap) ones at Target.

I hope you all had a great weekend!

I’m wearing:

Polka dot skirt from Target (here), Banana Republic wrap top (similar here), Double belt (similar here), Adrienne Vittadini Boots from DSW (here), Fossil watch (similar), Pandora bracelet.

P.S. I’m linking up with “The Pleated Poppy” blog. Check it out for outfit inspirations. :-)
